SPOKED-WHEEL LACING IN A NUTSHELL
This
program is a supplement to Bicycle
Assembly & Maintenance (BAM) and enrollment is limited to
those who are enrolled in Bicycle Assembly & Maintenance. This course supplements
Bicycle
Assembly & Maintenance (BAM) so that home mechanics and fleet maintenance personnel can lace
their own wheels instead of having to rely on a bike shop. Since taking
BAM enables you to
true wheels, after a professional helps you select the right equipment and spoke length,
this program is all you will need to build your own wheelsone the most satisfying
tasks for the home mechanic!
The material in this program is included
in Bicycle Repair & Overhaul (BRO), so if you are enrolling in the BAM
and BRO courses together, this program is unnecessary except for the
purpose of getting extra repetition with this skill.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE? Spoked-Wheel Lacing takes three hours to complete.
HOW MUCH HANDS-ON WILL I GET?
You will have the opportunity to lace one wheel from scratch
to the point that it is ready for truing. |

Since this program is only
offered as a supplement to the Bicycle
Assembly & Maintenance (BAM) program, no enrollment deposit is required.
